some information about the band we will be having the exchange with.
TWGHS ( WONG FUT NAM COLLEGE)
Over the years, our students have achieved great success in many competitions and have won many awards and scholarships. On the music front, Wong Fut Nam College continues with its fine tradition of instrumental music and singing. Our symphonic bands, choirs and string orchestra have given delight to all those who had the opportunity to listen to them, be it on Speech Day, Orientation Day , Open Day or any other ceremony. Our senior symphonic band has kept up the tradition of being placed in a top position at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and Band Festival and many students entered individual events with pleasing results. They have excelled in various music contests. Senior players dazzled in the 2004 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows as overall champion in the symphonic band contest and represented the HKSAR to take part in the First Symphonic Band Competition for Secondary Schools in China held in Beijing in 2005

there'll be band prac tomorrow from 9-1.30 its ok if your parents don't allow you to come.. but pls try to turn up k..
i know you may be relecutant to come but do some visualising.. what if we didn't play well in disneyland, how ' malu' can it get.. rmb 9 june performance? seniors? yah.. its exactly the same thing.. but i guess it'll be worse.. anyway, its only 4 hrs.. even if u hate the sight of the leaders( hopefully not :x), your instrument etc, its only for 4 hrs,/240 mins/1440 seconds you still have 20 hours more to slack for tmr . kk.. its really your choice.. you may wanna bluff your SLs or leaders that your parents don't alllow you to come but you won't gain anything from it.. afterall you've already come this far, after so much preperation, punishments and scoldings.. why not give it your best shot. you all know how hard it was just to do a recording to send in to disneyland.. since now we've gotten through the auditons, shouldn't we work doubly hard? thats all i've gotta say..its your choice..

photo of the day! :
Our very own shy + cute members! xD
Dear members, Those of you who are not going overseas, you all are welcomed to join in all of the practices ! Those practices not noted in your schedule are just optional. You are all welcomed to come back ! btw, all of you are suppose to assemble 15mins earlier on EVERY practices..! :D
No matter how hard the pieces MAY SEEMS to be, they are actually not! Don forget you got the support of the whole band to keep trying! No matter how embarrassing it might be when u played a solo, just remember dat the whole band will be behind you. It your choice whether or not to make this piece of band music alive or not.. All it takes, is just an effort of you trying to get the correct feel & not the notes. Try your best, be proud of your own solo. GIVE YOUR AUDIENCE WHAT THEY WANT.. Im sure u all can do it! have some confidence in yourself!
You guys should hear this song, the song we'll be playing. Last christmas. its a really nice song! maybe from here, you might be able to understand wad the song is about..
ENJOY!
with love, QI EN
