hello.
Just to let all of you know, if you were wondering if there would be lunch on the 30th, we would be ordering mac chicken for lunch since the practice is up till 2pm. Also, we will run through Rossroy and overture without scores on that day. You should have memorised your scores by then....

ohkay, next year, quite a number of events will be happening.

1)Sec One Orientation(date not confirmed)
2)Parents' Night - 16th January 2009
3)Speech Day - 4th or 11th July 2009
4)Gala Dinner - same day as Speech Day but at night

ohkay, since we are starting Let's Swing tomorrow, here's a video of a Japanese band playing the song.

*things to take note from the video*

1.Listen to how their Saxophones are unlike OUR band(they are so loud ohkay!)
2.Listen to how they come in confidently unlike OUR band
3.Listen to how they pulse the phrases.
4.Listen to how the brasses did not overtake the woodwinds

so i expect everyone to memorise the whole song by 12th December's practice.
I want you guys to really improve your playing and have a higher demand on yourself.
If you keep playing wrong notes, you must scold yourself and ask why you always play wrong notes and remember to not repeat it again.
We leaders cannot always constantly be your tape recorder and tell your mistakes everytime.
You yourself must be professional.
And if you want to get a gold, that is what you should do ohkay?!
so i expect more from everyone from now onwards.
