band, from now onwards, i hope that all of you always rmb what i always say. When you come for band, you are to be at your fullest potential. It doesn't mean that you are the best player, and you stop working hard there. Always ask for more from yourself. Nothing is impossible. At the end of the day, imagine when you graduated from Damai, what would you like to look back and think about your past in the band? Just a place where you go just for CCA points? or something that you have put in alot of effort and thus your highly skilled area which is very meaningful to you? Just by ensuring you play better each time in every practice is good enough.
Every single one of you is very impt. A small effort from all of you would make a huge difference. For the seniors, as we are the ones leading the band to SYF next year, i hope all of you would realise your importance of your own actions. It does not matter whether you are in the committee or not a simple effort of being in correct attire, or coming punctually for band, not knocking your instruments would display a good example to the Sec.1s.
A good band is one that is discipline we need to work on this area.
Also, i noticed that not all seniors and juniors in each section are close to one another. This is one area which definitely need to be improved on. A simple gesture of like: HEY! ___ junior's name. hello! with a big big big smile, would definitely make a HUGE difference and brighten up their day. If you are a sec.1, you would definitely be happy when you are showered with love,care and concern from your seniors! ok... and for the juniors about a month more and you are seniors already:) no pain no gain i know that you have alot more potential than what you are displaying now........ work hard!... jia you!....
Lets work hard together ppl and not let our sec.4s and other ex- seniors down!!!!
